I find it hard to believe that recordings that filled the airways of Eileen Joyce playing works like Chopin's "Fantasie Impromptu"(surely the best recording of the work EVER made),Schumann/Listz "Devotion" and Mozart "C major sonata K545" are no longer avialable on recording. My EMI recording was destroyed in a house fire,so the wonderful recordings are now just a memory.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane. The radio was a constant in my grandparent's home. My grandmother always sang along to the radio while doing her housework. I still love to sing along to the radio while on road trips. It is so freeing!

Hi, Brian. I want "old days" radio back on a regular basis. It was invigorating listening to the Silvertone radio and having to use your imagination envisioning Boston Blackie capturing the bad guys or following the plot behind "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts and minds of men? The Shadow knows. WA HA HA HA". Yeah, I'm that old... :>

Nice work on your blog!
